"Q" BOAT FOR SCRAP HEAP.

H.,M.S. Heather, one of the most most famous of the "Q" boats dur ing the war, has left Portland for Devonport to be broken up.

The Heather did gallant work in attacking U-boats off the West

Coast of Ireland.

One of her last 'exploits was the towing into Fishguard of the tor podoed, but still floating, steamer Redbridge with a cargo of cotton from Alexandria, worth £750,000. The Admiralty signalled the Heather message of congratula- tions for her good work.
