"DERELICT."
Invited to take a camera-test
tryout by Paramount, Jessie Royee, Landis, young and árumplisked stage actress, known as stage star of the first magnitude in Saw York, Baston, Philadelphia, Rochester, Detroit, Chiengo and Denver, left stagedom for an important screen
assignment, as leading woman with George Bancroft, in that star's spectacular ses picture, "Derelict," which is now showing at the King's Theatru.
Miss Landis, a Chiengo girl, is a product of the Chicago Conserva tury and of stack company in Evanston, Ill. She made her first Broadway appearance in Adolph Klauber's production, "Wings of Chance," and followed with the

Boles' splendid voice has already made him one of the most popular singing atars on the screen, but the combination of his beautiful bari- tone and Whiteman's musie in such songs as "It Happened in Monterey and "The Song of the Dawn" is superb. Rowland V. Lee, director of this Bancroft picture, says the action of this sea-going melodrama called for more courage and acting ability on the part of Miss Landlia than any other picture produced within the last two years would have required.
"KING OF JAZZ:"
Jeanette Loff is so beautiful and so talented that even in "King of Jazz" her presence is outstanding, She obviously is destined to become one of the reigning stars of the sound screen.
