The long run was run off the previous Wednesday afternoon, and several of the heats, etc., were taken on the previous days, owing to the large number of events. D. Moore, a Middle year boy came in first in the Senior Division, covering the 2 miles across country in 12 minutes, 32 seconds.
On Saturday afternoon an ex- cellent programme was carried through on the Boys' School fleld between the Settlement and the Boys' School, when seven events were carried out, the settlement winning easily this year as both their running and their long jump were in fine form. The high jump by G. Martin of the B.S. was excellent, leaving all his opponents easily behind.

The Rev. Henry Mathews, H. K. Constructions..... M.A., has arrived to take over B. Ind. 0.5 Bonds the Chaplaincy of the Port and H. K. Gart, Loans...$| we trust that his services among us may be helpful to all.
A long drought has at last been broken by a good night's rain which will save, we trust, the wheat' crop, and also enable the farmers to do more planting out although the season is some- what late.
Chefoo is expecting to be crowded this Summer as every available house has been rented, and we hear that the boarding houses are to be full.
