Two boat mistresses were morning charged before Comdr. J. B. Newill, in the Marine Court, by Lance-Sergeant Hill, of the Water Police, with taking their beats outside the harbour limits without permite.

The defendants, whose boats: were found near Ching Hue island, pleaded that they were engaged by the Texas Company to take kero- sene oil to Kwai Cheng, beyon'l Gladrinkers' Bay, and they did not know that' that Iccality was
