All the theatres "Gone Talkie." Until we see "City Lights" ne more Movies. Do you regret it? I do- but progress in all things, so we must offer our thanks to the Hong Kang Amasements Company for converting the World and the Star, and when we have such excellent Talkies as "Raffles" and "What Widow" we have no kick coming. Our own Ronald Colman in his (How third Talkies, "Raffles.” long is it since 1 Arst saw Sir Gerald du Maurier in this play? Let's forget the years). E. W. Hornung's novel of the gentleman Crackaman who charms ла he steals is in the perfect hands of Ronnie. It is a thriller, and in the retelling. when Raffles outwits Scotland Yard, loses none of its intense interest and excitement. It is a Talkie that keeps moving, with R.C. at his best, receiving able support from Frederick Kerr and Ernest Torrence. I admit to liking Kay Francis in this type of role, and she is splendid as Lady Gwen.
