The tenth annual Kowloon Marathon Race, held under the. auspices of the St. Andrew's Ghuli, ' Kowloon, will take place on Mon- day, March 9, starting outside the St. Andrew's Church, Nathan Road, at 4.30 p.m. This event is open to all Europeans and mem- bers of St. Andrew's Club.

The course, which extends over a distance of about six and a quarter miles, will be very similar to that of previous years, the only difference being that at the Signal Hill, instead of turning down Middle Road, the route carries straight on along Salisbury Road, then northward into Nathan Road to the finish, at St. Andrew's Church.

ENDURANCE FEATS IN CYCLING.

80 Hours Achieved in Calcutta.

Calcutta, Feb. 4. Calcutta is in the throes of an endurance cycling craze. On Saturday morning lon young Ben- galis, some only boys, started an attempt to ride for 101 hours.

Seven survived 48 hours, but after another 48 hours the number was reduced to three.

Blewas stopped at 77 hours, and S. Bannerie and, P. Mitter (the latter aged 171, pere persuaded by the doctor to Lbandon the attempt after 80 hours, writes a corres- pondent to the Straits Times.
