Daring Journey in 47- Foot Yacht.

A party of daring yachtsmen, led by Mr. Roy M. Barcal. American, arrived at Singapore from Manila,in their 47-foot vessel, rightly named the Intrepid, on their way to New York.
Interviewed by a representative of the Straits Times Mr. Barcal, a member af the Manila Yacht Club and formerly of the Chicago Yach! WHALING OFF CEYLON.
Government Grants Licence To Company.
Galle, January 22, Government has issued a licence to a Norwegian Company to carry out whaling operations off the coast of Ceylon and Mr. K. Bernsten, the Norwegian whaling. expert, is on his way back to Norway to make the necessary arrangements for the transfer of whaling steamers to the south coast waters.
