Heartrending Tragedies.

Some of the individual tragedies are heartrending.

For example, nine girls were buried alive in the collapse of a drapery store at Hastings. The

roof fell on scholars and tenchers in a technical school in Nupier, and many were killed. The night staff home fell, like a house of cards, at were sleeping when the nurses'
