which was, however, noteworthy in that regalia visits were paid by the Provincial Grand Lodge, Grand Council, and the Provin cial Grand Lodge, Grand Lodge of England.

Bro. Dowman, P.G.P., (Grand Council) prior to naking Bro. Rutland to accept the address, briefly paid tribute to his work for Buffaloism in Hong Kong. |He hoped that he would continue his untiring efforts upon his ar- rival in Britain, and sincerely trusted that further advancement, so richly deserved, would come his way. Bro. Butland's work was too well known to brethren present to require detailed com- ment, but he felt sure he was speaking for all present when he said that was solid and endur- Ing. (Applause),

Bro. Dowman then presented

"God-Speed."

Bro. F. Cullen, K.O.M., (P.G.P., G.L.E.) speaking for himself and his officers, expressed his appre- ciation of Bro. Butland's willing and ready co-operation during his sojourn in the Colony. He could only wish him God-speed and good tuck upon his return Home.

Bro. C. W. H. Wilson, K.O.M., P.G.P., G.L.E.. also Past thanked Bro. Butland for his efforts for the Order, particular- ly in connection with the affairs of the R.A.O.R. Club, which had greatly benefited by his advice and assistance. He was losing a friend and a brother and one who had been too modest to admit the

extent of his invaluable work. To the good wishes of Bro. Cullen he added his own personal thanks, and those of members of the R.A.0.B. Club. (Applause).

FIRM LODGE.

The troopship Nevassa on Satur- day brought all the members of the Firm Lodge. Shanghal. The opportunity was taken by many brethren of local Lodges to go on board and wish them God-speed and a prosperous future. The t- ter fired numerous crackers as the Nevassa left;

Komor and Company for three medals, Mr. Van Burgen for six medals, the Union Insurance Co. for a donation of $10, and the University Union for a gift of $50. He thanked Sir Wiliam Horneli for gracing the exhibition with his presence that afternoon.

Titles Praised.

After the distribution, Sir William Hornell briefly addressed the gathering. He said that he wanted to congratulate the Hong Kong University Union Photo graphic Club on their excellent exhibition.

After remarking on the joys of photography n a hobby, Sir William went on to congratulato the exhibitors for the ingenuity of the titles which they had riven their pictures. Speaking of one entitled "No Business," Sir William said that it reminded him of the situation in Hong Kong consequent on the crash in the dollar. If the winners of diplo mas (which Sir William remarked as being substantial) intended to frame them, then the frame-mak- ing trade in Hong Kong would benefit a great deal. (Laughter),

Sir William expressed grati- tude to the firms and to those who had contributed so generously to- the exhibition. (AP- wards plause).

Only Two Came Out! He said that he once bought a camera, and after buying hun dreds of rolls of films, went to the Himalayas, and took picture after picture. But only two came out properly! Since then, he had given it up, but cameras, he said, were much easier to work at the present day then they were 30 years or so ago. (More laughter).

Sir William concluded by thanking all those who had at- lended, and remarked on the plea- sure it had given him to see the many exhibits. (Applause).
