PROFITS MADE ON ALL TOURNAMENTS,

The statement of accounts issued by the Lawn Tennis Association shows an income for the year end- Ing September 30 last of £13,857, an increase of £1,053. The excess of income over expenditure was £2,655.

The association's share of the profits from the 1929 championship meeting at Wimbledon was £8,909, an increase of 2962 compared with the 1928 meeting.

The capitation fee of 2a, paid by competitors in 184 tournaments in 1930 produced £2,889. The profit from the hard court championship meeting at Bournemouth last spring was £185, an increase of £107.

The expenses of the inter-county championships on grass were E901, and those of the intercounty cham- plonships on hard courts $111. Others items of expenditure were: junior championships of Great Bri- tain £205, coaching subsidies £1,803, coaching at Wimbledon £65, pro- fessional matches and tournament £276, and laternational matches balance of account-21,819.

The amount invested is $25115, there is £2,000 out on loan to the Northumberland L.T.A. and £426 to the Teddington L.T.C., and £3,000 cash at the bank and in hand.
