Owing to the steamer stranding on the voyage to Hong Kong, a General Average is being declared and Con signees are required to sign the usual General Average Bond and pay the required Deposit before delivery can be granted. All damaged packages must be left in the Godowns where they will be examined by Mears. Goddard & Douglas.

All claims must be presented with- In 30 days of arrival otherwise they will not be recognised.

No claims will be admitted after the Goods have left the Godowns.

It is a little surprising to find, In the present period of depres sion, that on the Continent more ships are being built this year than was the case in 1929, where- As in Great Britain the position Hong Kong, 18th December, 1930, is reversed.
