BOXING PLANS.
LAKE-DOBSON RETURN MATCH MADE
NEXT TOURNAMENT.
Boxing enthusiasts who saw the wonderful bout between Stoker Percy Lake and Seaman Dobson for the Lightweight Championship of the Colony at the opening tourna ment of the HK.B.A season will learn with interest that the pair. bave been re-matched for the main bout at the next one. As previous- ly announced in the China `Mail, this will take place on Saturday, January 8..
Both men have.signed articles, and are already in training, report- ing themselves as being very fit. Lake is working out aboard his ship, H.M.S. Berwick, whilst Dobson, who is on H.M.S. Thracian, is using the Police gymnasium, with "Sky? Kerrison as his chief mentor, as before.
The Dobson party are quite 'con- fident that their man will reverse. the verdict this time, and many | people agree with them that a draw would have met the case, then, al- though the referee's decision proved E very popular one. Be that as it may, another great trest is assured.. ly in store, with lots of fast, clean and clever fighting.

Promoters Troubles. ⠀⠀
Mr. J. Brooks, manager of the Association, has had a good deal of hard luck over framing up his other bouts, and is to be commiser ited with. At one time it looked as if it would be possible to put on a middleweight championship, as it was, thought that both Jack Shep hard or H.M.S. Cumberland, (a ighter of the first rank), and Stinnie Morris, aboard - H.M.S. Suffolk, would be in the Colony for the next tournament. Unfortunate- ly by present indications, such will not be the case.
HMS. Suffolk, it is understood, will leave here on January 2, one day before the fight, for Shanghal, to relieve HMS. Cumberland. The latter ship will not be in Hong Kong until January 8. Thus all, notions of matching either man, either Over - 25-18, Abdul Curreeni, gainst each other or Jock Crick J. S. Ackber, A. Arcull O. Fton, must of necessity be put aside. Deodha, B. R.
