The trial of 41 Communists, ac-' cused of attempting to over- throw the State, has resulted in the ringleaders, Ferdinand Weiss, former head of the trunk tele- Iphones at Moscow, and Michael

Hay, a journalist, who were said! to have maintained direct com-1 munication with Moscow, being sentenced to seven and a half! years and fours years' imprison- ment, respectively. Six others were sentenced to 20 and 26 months' imprisonment, and 21 others from one to 20 months. Twelve were acquitted.-Reuter.

In the House of Commons to- day, Mr. Hugh Dalton, replying to Commander Kenworthy and Cap- tain Eden in regard to foreign affairs, sald that it was hoped that when the figures finally fitted into the draft convention recent- ly drawn up by the preparatory disarmament commission, the disarmament treaty would emerge.. Some people outside the House said that the draft con- vention
