DREDGING OPERATIONS TO COST $100,000.

Canton, Saturday, With a view to facilitating the East River traffic, the Kwangtung Conservancy Board has decided to dredge the Han Kiang, a main tributary of the East River. The dredging work is to begin from Muikal, passing Chao-an, Chao- yang, Kityang, Ching-hai, and Paoning to Swatow, According to the plan drawn up by the chief engineer of the Board, the cost of dredging is estimated at a little over $100,000.- Canton News Agency.
