The internationally known firm of Robert Bosch, Stuttgart, has, decided to form another branch company with its own factory in Britain, the new company to by known as Boach Ltd., and the fac tory to be situated on the North Circular Road, near Wembley, where the necessary land has al- ready been purchased.'

The factory is to start working within one year, its production be- ing destined for England and the British Dominions.

A similar factory has just started Saint-Quen, near operation at Paris, together with the French company Lavalette, under the' name of Societe Anonyme Lavalette- Both these undertakings Bosch.

During a visit to the British Legion Earl Jellicoe met John Brennan, who has had 24 yeàrs' experience in the Navy and who went round the work with him in H.M.S. New Zealand. In the course of a chat it was revealed that Brennan was out of employ- ment, and Lord Jellicoe immediate ly gave Instructions, for the, typing of a letter of recommendation for for employment in which Brennan was referred to as "an old shipmate of mine"

The tide-table given bolow has been obtained by aid of the Tide-predict ing Machine, which includes 40 com- ponents for the better prediction of tiles, from the result of the analys! of the tidal observations, taken at the Kowloon tidal observatory under the direction of Dr. Deberek during the years 1887, 1889 and 1880.

The times and heights are given for Kowloon; bat they may bo-nod for the Victoria Naval Yard and Aberdeen, the differences being-VOKÝ small,

The times of high and low-water must not be considered to colneide with the times of slack-water sid change of current, the two phenomena being quite distinct.
