HONG KONG TIDE

The tide-table given below has been obtained by aid of the Tide-predict- ing Machine, which includes 40 com ponents for the better prediction of: tides, from the result of the analysis of the tidal observations, taken at the Kowloon tidel observatory under the direction of Dr. Dobeack during the years 1887, 1888 and 1899.

The times and heights are given for Kowloon; but they may be used for the Vistoria Naval Yard and Aberdeen, the differences being very small.

The times of high and low-water must not be considered to coincide with the timca of black-water and change of current, the two phenomena being quite distinct.
