Hornell Cup Heats.

There are, five entries for the Hornell Cup for fours, out of which Taikoo have drawn a bye to be dectd- to the final, which ed at the opening cruise. Details of the crews to race to-day axe as follows:-

A Great Half Mile. Kalli finished second to Crabbe'in the 880 yards' event, in which he extended the champion to the last gasp and forced him to cover the distance in 10 min. 202-5 sec., or 1.4-5 sec., better than Welssmuller's world's record for the distance.

Kalili gave Crabbe a wonderful tussle again in the 300 metres medley championship, and again Crabbe was 'forced to clip 5.2.5 sec. off his own previous American record of 4 min. 12.1-5 sec, to win.
