"REDEMPTION."

John Gilbert and Renee Adoree have been brought together again in Gilbert's', new starring all talk- ing picture, "Redemption," which will come to the Queen's Theatre -to-morrow, The two popular screen players who were puired first in that master film, "The Big Parade" and later in "The Cos- sacks," again contribute striking performances in a picture which is far above the ordinary run- einema offerings. Of added in- terest is the fact that Eleanor Boardman also has a featured role in the picture, Miss Boardman having played opposite Gilbert in "Bardelys the Magnificent." A fourth member of this all star cast is Conrad Nagel.

of

"Redemption" was taken from Arthur Hopkins's stage version of Lyof Tolstoi's play, "The Living Curpse," in which John Barrymore scored a success several seasons ago. Gilbert's portrayal of the unfortunate Russian officer, Fedya, who is torn between love for his wife and the nomadic influence of a gypsy ancestry, is an inspired piece of acting and a far cry from the sophisticated comedy role he played in his last picture, "His Glorious Night."
