FIRST, DAY'S RESULTS.

Canton, Yesterday. The third Provincial Aquatic Sports at the Ching Woo Athletic Association in Tangshan, beat all. previous records. From 6 o'clock on Sunday morning' people began to wend their way from various. sections to the suburb. Before the arrival of the officials, at 10 am, ali the seats reserved for visitors had already been taken and according to the lowest figure the spectators numbered 12,000.

The local teams taking part in the various events are the Chin Woo Athletics, Lingnan Univer- Bity, Sun Yat-sen University, Municipal Normal School, Bureau of Public Safety, Phui Ying Col- lege. Hong Kong is represented by the South China, Wah Yan, Chinese Athletics, Fukien Athle- tics; while Macao sends the Nan Hwa Athletic Association.
