HONG KONG TIDE

The tide-table given below has been obtained by aid of the Tide-predict- ing Machine, which includes 40 com- panents for the better prediction of ides, from the result of the analysis' of the tidal observations, taken at the Kowloon tidal abservatory under the direction of Dr. Doberck during the years 1887, 1888 and 1889.

The times and heights are given for Kowloon; but they may be used for the Victoria Naval Yard and Aberdeen, the differences being very small.

The times of high and low-water must not be considered to coincide with the times of sinck-water and change of current, the two phenomena being quite distinct.
