LAWN BOWLS FOR TO-MORROW.

Prospects of Teams Summed Up.

TAIKOO'S GREAT CHANCE.

[By "Short Head."] At time of writing the weather prospects are not too favourable for to-morrow'a League games, but one can only hope for a full pro- granime being carried out in view of the fact that the interport players leave for Shanghai next The chief match week.

on the card is that between Craigen- First Power and Taikoo in the Division, and in the Second Divi- xion Division interest will be in which centred on the games the Civil Service and the Kowloon Bowling Green Club take part.

DIVISION I

c.c.c. v. Taikoo R.C.

Last year the Taikoo Club fell by the big total of 82-36, whilst at Taikoo on June 14 this rear they lost by the narrow mar gin of 55-53. They have nothing at stake to-morrow, whereas the Craigengower Club will be all out to make the championship definite- ly secure, This, however, is not at all likely to influence the Tai- too players, who may be expect- ed to give the lenders a good run for their money.

K.C.C. v. C.S.C.C.

A year ago the K.C.C. won this match by 54-50, whilst at the Valley on June 14 this year they barred the points, by 70-50.

The Civil Service will' no doubt endeavour to prove that the first match this season was in the nature of a fluke, whilst the K.C.C. will be equally anxious to demonstrate that it was won on superior play. This should be an interesting struggle right through, but the visitors might just scrape

0:30.

Kowloon Dock v. Police R.C. Last year the Dock won by the

margin handsome

of 72-48, whilst on June 14 this season. they won by 85-41. Last Satur- day the Dock staged a good come- back at the Valley against the Civil Service, and form points to

A comfortable win for them to-

morrow.

K.B.G.C, v. Club de Recreio.

A year ago the Club de Recreio won this game by 67-53, but the teams have not 80 far met this season. Both were on the losing side a week ago, but there is no- thing at stake on either side, ex- cept it be that Luz should be an- xions to regain his position at the head of the leading skips.

DIVISION II.

Talkoo R.C. v. C.C.C.

A year ago the home Club lost by 66-49, but they won at the Valley this season by 76-36. In view of their form against the Bowling Green Club, last Satur- day they ought to bag full points.

Services would have to declare shortly, and both batamen started to hit out. It was a hectic time. Wigglesworth, treating the bowl- ing fearlessly, took many risks. During five overs he hit 40 runs, Including three sixes and several fours, while Neville lifted a ball 7 from Trusler clean over the ropes. The latter, however, got too daring, and paid the penalty, and Services then declared, their total O standing at 242 for six wickets.

Capener and Trusler opened the Hermee innings, and soon settled down to steady run-getting. The half century was soon put on the

the

Southern Railway engine-driver, and his brother-in-law, Mr. J. Lock a corporation roadsweeper.

The £70,000 was the prize money paid to them for tickets No. RR 2859, and No. GP 8885 in the Cal- cutta Turf Club Derby Sweepstake.

These numbers, the bank stated, had drawn Blenheim, the winner, But official lists cabled from Cal- cutta gave other numbers for Blenheim.

ER 2859 was bought by Mr. Hogg for himself and six friends at Barnstaple. There was great rejolcing when they were inform- ed by the bank some time ago that
