London, Yesterday, Four games out of the eight matches in the week-end pro- sramme were completed. Essex Burprised Sussex by winning by seven wickets after taking second knock. Lancashire defeated Kent, by 101 runs after butting first. Good bowling by Tyldesley in the Kent second uninga was respon- sible for the paltry score of 83. Gloucester proved toe strong for | Leicestershire ́ and won by the handsome margin of eight wickets.
