Larwood

SIX BOWLERS,

[By "Second Slip.") At last England have a reliable attack for the Tost match at Leeds, consisting of Tate, Lar- wood, Geary. Tyldesley, Hammond and Leyland. The two last nam- ed are not frat-class bowlers, but they are useful from the point o' view of resting one of the shock bowlers, and also are able to keep

the uns down.

Naturally the wicket has to be considered when choosing the opening bowlers, but I think that Larwood and Tate will open for England, and a lot may depend na Larwood's first two or three ovels.

He is a splendid shock bowler and enn rest assured that Ponsford will never be at his ease when facing him after
