on the New York Line for the express service, and the first steamer, Kinat Maru. is now ready for her service having completed construction. She is due at Hong Kong on June 27 and sails for New York via the Panama Canal on June 29, taking 43 days to New York.

Increase of 49,000 Fons Recorded:

Rugby, Yesterday. Twenty-nine vessels, totalling 188,000 tona, were launched from the Tyne shipbuilding yards dur- ing the past five months, being an increase of two vessels and 49,000 tons, compared with the corres- ponding period of last year--Bri- tish Wireless Service.

The times and heights are given for Kowloon; but they may be used for the Victoria Naval : Yard- auf Aberdeen, the differences betig vary.

The times of high and low-water mast not be considered tu colneide with the times of slack-water and change of current, the two phenomena being quite distinct.
