Much to be Done. With your permission, I would wish to take this occasion to inform all the members that on account of old age, I have recently resigned from the Corps' as 'District Officer, but still keep up my keen interest as Chairman of the Financial Com mittee. I would paint out, in pass- ing, that although the Brigade has made gratifying progress, there is still much to be done. I am thankful to say that since Sir Cecil's regime, our appeals to the public have met with remarkably generous response. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I rose for the purpose of thanking you briefly and I and myself doing that easiest of all things-offering you a lot of advice! You know Mark Twain said somewhere,-"To be good is noble; to show others how to be good is nobler,--and no trouble!!"

Not very long age I addressed you on the work the St. John Am- bulance Brigade has done in Hong Kong, and it is unnecessary to refer to it again at any length. I should like to say a few words; however,
