Saigon, May 2. May Day passed quietly through- out Indo-China with the exception of two demonstrations, in one of which French official shot one of the lemonstrators.
In the province of Thaibinh, about 300 persons coming from the villages | in the area around Hung Yen and Thaibinh collected about the ferry. They succeeded In crossing the river by bullying ferrymen, but then they ran into the barrier of the native! guard.
