The agreement for the rendition of Wei-hai-we: provides:--- All the Territory is restored to China and practically all British Government property, including the cable to Chefoo, is presented to China free.

A large number of buildings and sites, however, used by for- eigners official and private are leased to the British Government free, for 30 years with option of renewal, unless China decides to close the port for a naval base.

Foreign title deeds are to be exchanged for Chinese leases in perpetuity. If the port is closed for a naval base, owners are to be bought out.

Use of the island and harbour by the British Navy is secured. The agreement is to be ratified by October 1 next, at which date rendition will take place.

CONVENTION FOR RENDITION.
