Conrad went to San Franciaco personally rehearsed the marines and also the U.S. Navy Band.
Before the production was finish- ed, Walsh received word from the Orient that the marines were still singing this song, having adopted it as their marching song.
The U.S.S. Henderson is now in Oriental waters with practically the entire complement of marinies who appear in this particular sequence.
