maintaining a cruising speed of 100 m.p.h. This machine in particular is provided with extra tanks, giving it a range of 1,200 miles.

The principle feature of this type of machine is the simplicity of maintenance. The huge mainplane is in one plece, and consists of wooden spars and ribs, plywood be- ing used for covering. This, with 4 periodical coat of varnish thoroughly protects the interior of the main plane and so prevents deterioration. No bracing wires are used in the construction thereby eliminating the danger of collapse by the parting of a wire..
