Lecture to Engineering Society

In the course of a lecture on the subject of "Remarkable Inven- tions," given before the University Engineering Society last night, Professor Middleton Smith laid particular emphasis upon the sweep- ing changes in Canton, and China generally, during the last two de- cades.
