FACILITIES?
STRANGE HESITATION
London, Yesterday.
In the House of Commons to day, Commander Kenworthy asked when the establishment of the Britain to Australia air mail ser- vice was expected, and whether arrangements had been made with; the Dutch Government for the use of landing grounds, aerodromes and facilities for flying beats in the) Dutch Indies,
Mr. F. Montague replied that, he could not give 2 de- Anite date and answer the second part of the question in the negative, but no trouble was anticipated in the negotiations with Holland, especially in view of the fact that the Dutch had facilities from us at Singapore.
Commander Kenworthy declared that there was hesitation to grant facilities in view of possible re- prisals.
Mr. Montague said that there was a good deal of misappréhension in that connection. It was a matter within the jurisdiction of the In- dian Government, who hesitated to | grant facilities to the British as well as to the Dutch until the meterologi- cal, wireless and ground organisa-į tion was complete for these flights. -Reuter.
NEW MINISTER OF WAR
