Tiger's Terrific Stride The Tiger. This big strong pie- bald good looker seems to be get- ting along fine under the careful handling of his trainer, who is giving him long steady work in an endeavour to develop his ter rific stride which will assuredly carry him over long distances in first class racing time.

Peppercorn's Promise Peppercorn is out of the same stable and was one of last year's griffins but did not face the start- er as he went sore at the last moment.

He is a clean cut galloper and will stretch out at the last few strides when properly ridden.

As Mr. Noodt will also have the mount on this pony we can also look to him to reveal some promising performances at the meeting.

African Eve is going great zuna and is as strong as hands can make him. His forte is long distances and he can reel them off with clock work precision. Mr. Bowling, a very good jockey, will be up on this healthy black, and if what I hear is true he will give the rest of the fleld some- thing to think about in any race where Mr. Bowling takes him out. Royal Hall is one of the best griffins in Mr. Ho Kom-tong's stable and 05 Mr. Charles Encarnacao is the first jockey no more need be said as he is a very careful rider who can get a China pony to do his best at all times. Mr. Encarnacao will also be rid ing Marquis Hall in some of his races, so I think we shall see both these ponies in the winning liat at the forthcoming meeting.

Deacons and Jardines expecially being delightful to watch at times. Batchelor war playing some long balla and Quinn's putting was extremely accur
