THE GOVERNOR (SIR CECIL CLEMENTI, K.C.M.G.).—Laudatory addresses were presented by the communities of the Colony at the function on the Hong Kong Cricket Club ground last week, preceding the de parture to-day, on promotion to Malaya, of Sir Cecil Clementi, with Lady Clementi. ANOTHER NEW BRITISH STEAMER FOR THE TRADE-This is the China Navigation Co.'s ss. Tsinan bring launched at Taikoo Dock, Hong Kong, on January 23, in the presence of a distinguished gathering. Mra. Chan Ming-shu, wife of H.E, the Civil Governor of Kwangtung performed the ceremony, coming specially from Canton to do so.--(K. Fujiyama),
