Geneva, Yesterday. The Secretary General of the League of Nations has received telegrams from the Bolivian Gov- ernment asserting that Paraguay's accusations are baseless, and de- jelaring that Bolivia has no wish to disturb the peace of South America. -Reuter's American Service.
The Secretary-General of the League of Nations received from the Paraguayan Charge d'Affaires in Paris a telegram declaring that in consequence of the recent frontier. incident, wherein ona Bolivian and one Paraguayan soldier were killed, Bolivia waa mobilising two divisions and en- rolling reservists and volunteers with the object of attacking Paraguay.
The Secretary telegraphed the Paraguayan Government's com munication to all members of the Council of the League and the Bolivian Government.]

At the hearing of the banknotes forgery plot, counsel for the de- fence asserted that the Soviet it- aclf, for political purposes, forged English, American, and Chinese currency notes, valued at | £600,000,000, and sent two tons of it to General Feng, and one ton to the Soviet army in the Far East. Counsel's allegation was support ed by the police.-Reuter.

venture. The ship's band played a funeral march in memory of the Captain when they passed the seene of the disaster.----Reuter's American Service.
[A message from Ruenos Aires stated that the Monte Cervantes sank on the night of January 23. Captain Dreyer went down with his ship, the German liner Monte Cervantes, which struck a rock near Tierra-del-Fuego, in the Straits of Magellan.
The Monte Cervantes was badly holed. and the bows quickly sub-j merged.
The passengers and crew num- bering 1,600, were put ashore at Ushain, a prison colony containing the most notorious prisoners from Argentine. Ushaia has very few buildings and no proper accommo- dation for so many people.]
