BITTER CONTROVERSY IN OFFICIAL CIRCLES
New York. Tuesday, Guns of both Prohibition Agents and rum-runners in different parts of the United States during tha week-end were responsible for 5 deaths and 4 woundings.
These developments, arising out of the enforcement of the "Dry". Laws, come at a time when official circles in Washington are engaged in one of the billorest controversles over Prohibition alnce it became law.
It is understood that President Hoover will shortly submit to Con- greas a number of recommendations by the Law Enforcement, Commis- sion. It is known that the Preal- |dent is watching the situation with very great interest and there ar indications of a general speeding up of activities among Prohibition ugents all over the country.

EUROPEAN FLIGHT Great Britain To Enter Competition
Ragby, Yesterday.
The Royal Aero Club has decided that Great Britain shall enter the great round-Europe light aeroplane! touring competition, initiated by the French Aero Club and won last by Germany.
Last year Great Britain did not enter officially, and the few British airmen who took part in the contest were obliged to enter through French Aero Club, and they flew under the French flag. In the re sult, though German Morzik won the first prize of 100,000 francs the British pilot, Captain Broad, was awarded second place and a prize of 50,000 francs. Another British prizewinner Was Miss Spooner. Both used Moth machines. The contest is restricted to aircraft' of limited horse-power-British Wire- less Service.
