BETTER STANDARD OF LIFE
WILL TO GOODNESS
Lecturing recently to the mem- bers of the Theosophical Society, Hong Kong Lodge, Mrs. Uthen said:
First let me explain what I mean by Universal. The Dictionary de- finition is "That which pertains to many things considered as one whole." That which is particular Is the opposite to that which Is Universal. The word universal is becoming very popular and often means a collection of a variety of things from all over the world. I am not collecting all the Ideals of humanity for our consideration here, however fascinating that might prove to be, but what I want to do is to discover what lies be- hind all the varying expressions of Idealism what is the Essence of all the Idealism of humanity.
Idealism is often considered as a

This urge could not exist efforts to reach a better standard in man but for the fact that the Infinite One is absolute good and has made man after his own image. As the Infinite One has become the many in the manifestation of Himself, so goodness becomes relative goodness in manifestation, hence we have what is called, evil. perfection acts as an incentive to The discord 'caused by evil or im
