Seaplanes frolicked, aeroplanes circled overhead, destroyers rushed hither and thither and a couple of cruisers escorted the "Siberia Maru," on which the Japanese delegation sailed en route to London to the naval arms conference at the British capital. was the Navy's send-off to the Japanese delegation.

The delegation left Tokyo central station for Yokohama and were seen off by thousands, "banzaf” after "banzai," the Japanese equivalent of good luck, rending the air.

ONLY ONE WOMAN

The delegation consists of the fol- Jowing: Mr. Reijiro Wakatsuki, chief delegate; Admiral Takarabe, Navy Minister: Admiral Abo; Mr. Kawasaki, chief of the Bureau of Legislation of the Cabinet; Dr. Yamakawa, momber of the Ilouse of Peers, and Count Aisuke Kabaya. The last four are advisers to the Japanese delegation in various capacities. Vice-Admiral Sakonji and Mr. H. Salio are also attached to the delegation. The former is an expert on Nava! affairs, while the latter holds the post of Chief of the Intelligence Bureau of the Foreign Office. There is only one woman with the delegation, this being Mrs. Takarabe, wife of the Navy Minister.
