Musical Marvel
Ruggiero Ricci, eight-year-old violinist, who created a sensation in New York when he made his debut at the opening concert of the Manhattan Symphony. The child played the Mendelssohn concerto, one of the standard classics of the repertoire for violin and orchestra, and ho played it without compromise of any sort, alther as to its length or Ita conicat, even inserting the difficult Kreisler cadenza in its opening movement. He was completely wrapped up in his per- formance, apparently forgetting his audience.
