- DAMAGE TO COLONY'S RESCUE TUG-The "Kau Sing" (meaning "saving star"), which belongs to the Government, in Taikon Dock after striking som rocks off Chaiwan Bay. Repairs will cost about $10,000. Note the broken propeller blade and the complete one above it.-(Alfred Lock & Co.)

PIONEERS OF HONG KONG-Here is the often talked about but seldom visited cemetery at Stanley Peninsula, in the south of Hong Kong, where many of those in the garrison who succumbed to illness in the early days of the Colony's history were buried.

CHINESE RECREATION CLUB "AT HOME."-The annual function at Causeway Bay last Saturday was just as successful as its predecessors. Look at the formidable array of trophies, mostly awarded for lawn tennis, at which gumo the C.R.C.'s prowess has for long been proverbial. Mr. Ng Sze-kwong (in white trou- sors), a former champion of the Colony, is seen addressing the large gathering-(A. Fong).
