Danger To Themselves
And The Public"
"Lads of this age ought not to be riding motor-cycles; they are a danger to themselves and to the public," said the coroner (Mr. Thomas Wilson) at an inquest at Burnt Ash, Suffolk, on Stanley Bennett, aged 15, of Shipsea Hill, "That we should make some Cambridgeshire, who crashed Into "closer definition of what is describa lorry while riding his motor-

As regards taxation at home, (says the London "Dally Tele- graph's" motoring correspondent)
One outstanding feature of our present mode of living is speed. This is an age of rapid motion. It will become more and more rapid, rather than less so. People will leam to relax in motion and to live more deeply, but there will be no turning back to less rapid days. All progress has been marked by an increase in speed the cOB- quering of space and time. The trend is a fundamental one not
a passing phase. Gargoyle Mobiloil - the New Mabiloil ensures economical con- quering of space and time.

DRIVER ACQUITTED
No Evidence Offered By Prosecution
At Nottingham Araizes Edward Henry Coughtrey, 32, a Nottingham crisp potato merchant, was indicted on a coroner's warrant for the man- Blaughter of William Ayres Astle, a fireman who was employed by the London and North-Eastern
Railway Company.
In the proceedings before the ma. gistrates it Was alleged that the accused drove his motor-car negligently on a wet night and knocked down Astle, who was fatal- ly injured.
The magistrates held that there was no evidence to warrant his com- mittal for trial, but the coroner's jury had returned a verdict of man- slaughter.
