Now is the time of year when the aches and pains of rheuma-}| tiam, sciatica, lumbago and neuralgia, attack many people. DO YOU WANT TO MAKE SOME MONEY?
This intriguing question is prompted by the exciting times that have fallen to the lot of the Britons and other foreigners in Wuchow, a Treaty port not far from Hong Kong. While these non-Chinese were being "bombed," atten- tion was being focused on what would happen in Canton. If one enly knew! For there is a fortune to be made in speculations in the Chinese bank note market.
Such chances would not be possible were it not for the present war in the adjacent provinces. In any case, the people at Home would like to read all about it. They will want to know, at the same time, why the National Government is winning in North China and why, simultaneously, it met with a setback in the South. Even more so, they will like to be enlightened as to the talk of all factions joining hands in order to eject the Russian invader in Manchuria.
As has been the case from the inception, the "Overland China Mail" will explain everything for you. There is abundant reading matter in the current number.. Folks in the Old Country will be astonished to read of the money-making opportunities for some exiles while there was talk of evacuating others.
All the week's developments are recorded. All the week's news of Hong Kong, in its social, sporting and other aspects, will also be found in the "Overland," which is the only illustrated weekly news budget published in the Colony. Be certain of your copy and post it in time to catch the mall.
