SPLENDID ATTENDANCE

The concert last night given in St. Andrew's Church Hall, Kow loon, was in every way a great success and very enjoyable. The attendance numbered over 150 persons.

Mr. R. Baldwin, in a short pre-: liminary address, expressed his regret that Mr. J. Cornelius unavoidably absent, and said that his place had been taken by a Naval gentleman, Mr. A. J. Gwyther.

Mr. Dick Barty occupied the stage for about fifteen minutes, and showed what a clover per- former can do with a plano. Kis folk song and jokes were heart- ly applauded, last night's being his first appearance la the Church Hall.

Miss McGill and Mr.. Baldwin) rendered some delightful duets, to the accompaniment of Mr. R. Woolley, which were enthusins-] tically received.

Mr. N. Heatherington also a Rewcomer, gave a very pleasing monologue. As an encore he re- cited Kipling's "It."
