The China Merchants* 3.5. "Kwangchi," with a large num~ ber of passengers and full cargo, when returning to Shang- hal from Wenchow, was pirated on Wednesday inst, and released on Friday.'
From the meagre details avail- able it appears that the pirates. following the established methods of piracy, boarded the vessel din xuised as passengers. They sud- denly overwhelmed the crew, loot- ing the vessel.
The officers are safe, although all money and clothing was rob- bed. One passenger was wound- The ship is little damaged.--- Reuter.
