A small furry has taken place in the market dur- ing the past week due chiefly to speculative buying on the strength of the proposals made between the Dutch producers and American manufacturers. for the formation of a selling combine. It seems improbable that British interests will join in the scheme, and London have consequently been scepti- cal of any improvement being maintained. Prices have again settled back to the lower levels at which a fair demand is met.
