Tom Heeney, the New Zealand heavyweight, (above) went.. down for the count, in the ninth round of a 10-round bout with Victorio Campalo, at Ebbets Field, Brooklyn. Heeney got to his feet at the count of ten, but was in such a dazed condition. that Referee Crowley halted the bout and led the New Zea ...... lander to his corner. Heeney stated after the fight that he had never been hit harder in his life and predicted the "Gaucho" would go far before he meets deicat. As a result of this fight Heeney is automatically removed from any chance of securing the heavyweight title and ringside fans predict "it was the kid's last fight."
