KING'S MESSAGE
The death of that great, and virile stutesman, Dr. Kustav Stresemann, has come with great unexpectedness. Few people, even among his intimate friends, realised that this man of prodigious energy and strength, who bent all his energies towards the re- ertation of Germany and the founding of world peace, was a chronic valid. For six years he was continually in the hands of the doc tors, and ignored their advice that he should retire. His convie- tion was that his indispensability would restore his country's shat- Fered fortunes.
An unselfish patriot, he died unselfishly, at the last hour work- ing for his country-a martyr to duty.
