HONG KONG TIDE
The tide-table given below has been obtained by nid of the Tide-pre- dicting Machine, which includes 40 components for the better prediction of tidea, from the result of the analysis of the tidal observations, taken at the Kowloon tidal observa-
tory under the direction of Dr. Doberck during the years 1887, 1888 and 1885.
The times and heights are given for Kowloon; but they may be used for the Victoria Naval Yard and Aberdeen, le differences being very Bmall.
The times of high and low water must not be considered to coincide with the times of slack-water and change of current, the two phenomena being quite distinct.
