The open events are the 800 metre, 1,600 metre Relay race, 200 metre free style swimming contest and 200 metre free style Relay Swimming race.
The meeting will be held on Septem ber 6, 7 and 3 at North Point, opposite the Ming Yuen Gardens. Athletes from Shanghai. Singapore, and Canton have been invited to compete. The aims of the Association are to hold, the meet- ing under the same principle as that of the Far Eastern Olympiad.

[Senator Тубоп was a lawyer by profession, born in Greenville, North Carolina, in 1881. After his early schooling he entered the U.S. Military Academy, from which he graduated in 1883. being appointed 2nd lieutenant of the 9th US. Infantry on June 13 of that year. In 1899 he was promoted to let lieutenant. From 1891 to 1895 he was professor of military science and 3-6 tactics.
He was admitted to the bar in 1895 and until 1898 devoted himself to things of civil life.
