Aviator Killed

Wilmer Stultz, noted aviator who piloted Miss Amelia Earhart on her trans-Aliante fight to Europe, was killer along with two other men when their Warn Speedwing biplane went into a tailspin at 300 feet altitude and crashed in a field near Mineola, L. I.

Polish Plane Crash

Two Polish aviatora Ludwik Idzikowski, right, and Major Casimir Kubala, navigator and co-pilot, set out for the United States from Le Bourget Field, in an Amion 'plane, "Marshal Pilsudski," (shown in flight), but the machine crashed at Graciosa Island and Idzikowski was killed. Kubala was rescued but the machine was wrecked.

The flyers had been hattling the waves and storms a week before their rescue. Major Franco is shown, right inset, embracing L. Killroy, the aviator from the "Eagle," who spotted them on the ocean.
