MR. BROWN'S EXPERIMENTS
London-Claims for awards In res pect of improvements in gyroscopic compasses were further considered by the Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors, which sat, under the chair- manship of Lord Tomlin, at the Privy Council Court, Dewaing-street.
The four claimants were Sir James Henderson, whose counsel was Mr. K. Shelley; Br. S. G. Brown, F.R.S., re- presented by the Hon, Stafford Cripps, KC, Mr. Trevor Watson and Mr. Drew: Dr.
A. L. Rawlings, whose counsel were Mr. D. H. Corsellis and Mr. Reginald Jones; and Mr. E. Kil- barn Scott, who was not represented.
The Admiralty were represented by Mr. Wilfred Greeno, K.C., Mr. James Whitehead, K.G., and Mr. J. M. Me- Ewen.
